Roger and Jeff met in 2002 and developed an interest in and began collecting Mid-Century Design.  In an effort to clear their garage of MCM furniture and actually use it for a car, they found a tiny and very affordable storefront in the then deteriorating Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh to use as a storage space.  Eventually they decided to open a few Saturdays a month- each having other careers.  They named their store WHO NEW? Retro Mod Decor as an acknowledgement that mid century design was becoming more popular and 'catching on'.  The color and liveliness their displayed wares brought to the otherwise shuttered neighborhood attracted the attention of a local developer who in turn offered a larger storefront just blocks away for their business- and the neighborhood -to prosper.

 

Roger and Jeff have been active with neighborhood organizations to improve and popularize the now very livable and village-like neighborhood of Lawrenceville and are proud to be thriving here for over 18 years, providing vintage mid-century modern furniture, housewares, decor, and furnishings to the community, the movie industry, interior designers, architects, and collectors alike.  We welcome inquiries to buy, sell, and trade, and are always interested in acquiring items, from one piece to entire estates.
